Job summary

ABB Canada is offering a Project Engineering Intern position within the Motion High Power Systems team. You will gain hands-on experience supporting the execution of LV/MV drive projects under supervision of experienced Project Engineers.

Contribute to engineering documentation, analyze customer requirements, coordinate project activities, and drive continuous improvement while developing practical skills in a real project environment. Fluency in French and English is required.

• Technical documentation and drawing interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineers in the execution of LV/MV voltage drive projects.
• Support the review and interpretation of customer specifications, drawings, and technical requirements.
• Contribute to the preparation and revision of engineering documentation including interface drawings, control schematics, and project deliverables.
• Assist in maintaining engineering records, documentation packages, and project databases.
• Participate in project review meetings and technical discussions.
• Support communication and coordination between engineering, project management, operations, and factory engineering teams.
• Assist in identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities within the Project Engineering department.
• Help track engineering deliverables and project milestones to support on‑time project execution.
• Learn ABB engineering standards, tools, processes, and product architecture for medium voltage drive systems.
• Provide support for technical investigations, document reviews, and engineering calculations as required.
