Job summary

Elk Valley Resources (EVR) is seeking a Project Engineer or EIT to lead projects from scoping to execution at our Elk Valley sites. You will coordinate with technical services, operations and contractors to ensure safe, efficient delivery and alignment with sustainability goals.

The role requires strong communication, proven leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with a focus on building relationships across teams and departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Mine or related Engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Registered or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC).
• Minimum of three years of project experience including design, construction and commissioning.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience in project frameworks, cost control, team alignment and contractor coordination is an asset.
• Experience in mining or heavy industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies.
• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules across the portfolio.
• Lead and support project transitions into operations, including readiness planning, commissioning, and start-up.
• Execute mining, plant, environmental, and tailings projects in coordination with contractors and internal departments.
• Collaborate with operational teams to ensure alignment and engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
• Gather and analyze information to support sound decision-making and continuous improvement.
