Job summary

Elk Valley Resources in British Columbia seeks a Project Engineer or EIT to lead projects from scoping through execution, ensuring safe, efficient delivery at site. You will work with technical services, operations and contractors to align outcomes and drive readiness.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, proven leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills. A compressed work week with alternating Fridays off supports work-life balance in a beautiful valley setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Mine or related Engineering.
• Registered or eligible for EGBC in British Columbia.
• Minimum three years of project experience, including design, construction and commissioning.
• Experience with project frameworks, cost control, team alignment and contractor coordination is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies.
• Develop and manage project plans, budgets and schedules across the portfolio.
• Lead and support project transitions into operations, including readiness planning, commissioning and start-up.
• Execute mining, plant, environmental and tailings projects with contractors and internal teams.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure alignment and engagement through the project lifecycle.
• Gather and analyze information to support sound decision-making and continuous improvement.
