Job summary
Elk Valley Resources (EVR) is seeking a Senior Mine Engineer to develop and optimize long-range plans to sustain and extend the Life of Mine at Greenhills Operations. You will lead pit, spoil and haul road design optimizations, life-of-mine schedules, budgets, forecasts and strategic evaluations in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or related field; EGBC eligible.
- Minimum seven years experience in mine planning.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies.
- Lead deliverables including Life of Asset, 5-year plan, budget and forecast.
- Mentor the Long-Range Engineering Team to develop capabilities.
- Execute mine planning including pit, spoil, haulage and closure design with sustainable development in mind.
- Perform production scheduling from KPI analysis to coal blending results.
- Influence site decisions through data analysis and sound mining practices.
- Prepare mine permit applications and ensure permit-compliant mine plans.
