Job summary

Alstom in Toronto, ON, is seeking an engineer to drive system deployment and integration across rail projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage risks, and ensure contractual compliance on Canada’s busiest transit network.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science, a licensed professional engineer or active path to licensure, and experience in project deployment and railway projects. Fluency in English is required; French is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or in the process of obtaining it.
  • Experience in project deployment across the full lifecycle, including commissioning.
  • Experience in railway projects (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills and decision-making ability.
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset.
  • Fluency in English (a second language is appreciated).

Responsibilities

  • Engineering impact assessment coordination and change management support.
  • Coordinate technically between Project Engineering Manager and Industrialization teams.
  • Identify appropriate process applications to solve problems.
  • Oversee eBOM creation and maintenance.
  • Create, collect, and consolidate engineering reporting dashboards and reports.
  • KPI management and weekly/monthly reporting for internal and external audiences.
  • Invoice tracking and document delivery via Doc Control.
  • Utilize APSYS roadmap application.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering and system integration expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and dynamic teammates.

You’ll play a central role in reducing the carbon footprint of Canada’s busiest public transit system while ensuring the successful delivery of world-class solutions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (System Deployment & Integration, Corridor Sub-Systems, and Engineering), manage technical risks, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, and much more.

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is $90,000 – $120,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
