Job summary

Alstom in Toronto, ON is seeking a full-time Installation Supervisor to lead on-site signalling activities and coordinate across design, site operations, and subcontractors. You will manage DD&I and pre-construction surveys, site marking and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Produce site documentation such as Job Hazard Analysis and Work Plans.
  • Manage access requests and inspections.
  • Progress reporting and shift reporting; ensure safety and quality checks.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a transformative project. You’ll work alongside a collaborative, innovative, and detail-oriented team of professionals. You'll play a pivotal role in reducing the carbon footprint of Canada's busiest public transit system by contributing to the On-Corridor Works project as part of the Alstom team. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (design, site operations, and subcontractors), oversee various on-site works, support the successful delivery of signalling activities and much more. You’ll specifically take care of DD&I and pre-construction surveys such as, envrionmental, asset condition surveys, SUE investigations, signalling site marking and delivering signalling installation works. You will also manage progress reporting and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.


We will look to you for:



  • Supervision of subcontractors on site

  • Ensure compliance with Alstom practices, AZDP and national regulations

  • Produce site documentation such as Job Hazard Analysis, Work Plans and readiness reviews

  • Managing access requests

  • Managing tools and ensuring regular inspections and calibration

  • Progress reporting and shift reports

  • Safety inspection and Quality checks

  • Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics

  • Strong knowledge of railway products and services across different market segments (Urban, Mainline, Freight, and Product)

  • 5+ years of experience in Signalling field operations and site supervision

  • Strong knowledge of DD&I, pre-construction surveys and site marking activities

  • Excellent understanding of Environmental, Health, and Safety standards (desired)

  • Interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to primarily work in field environments under seasonal conditions, adhering to safety rules

  • Ability to work night, weekend and/or Statutory Holidays as per business needs

  • Occasional travel flexibility

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is $80,000 – $105,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
