Job description

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your signalling and engineering expertise in a transformative project that will redefine public transit in Canada. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and innovative team of professionals dedicated to delivering excellence.

You’ll play a vital role in reducing the carbon footprint of one of Canada’s busiest public transit systems while contributing to the success of the On-Corridor Works project as part of the ONxpress consortium. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (design, construction, and project management), manage installation tools and processes, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of signalling constructability within MX standards, but also develop and review engineering studies, including Bill of Installation Materials/Quantities, Method Statements, and Installation Drawings.

We’ll look to you for:
  • Assessing progress reports and generating internal action plans to address challenges
  • Reviewing installation designs, including drawings and method statements
  • Conducting site surveys to identify potential constraints and reporting them to the design team
  • Developing work plans, Job Hazard Assessments (JHA), and track access and safety documents
  • Managing installation tools, including regular inspections and calibration
  • Ensuring “as built” and “as installed” documentation is completed before revenue service
  • Interfacing with internal subsystems within the project
  • Preparing and presenting technical solutions to internal and external stakeholders
  • Overseeing installation of signalling assets, including site material logistics, laydown areas, access points, lifting plans, and warehousing processes
