Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering (processes).
• Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
• Minimum 10 years in a similar role, with at least 5 years in an industrial environment.
• Experience in refining, petroleum products, petrochemicals, or tank farms is a significant asset.
• Strong knowledge of chemical processes and mechanical equipment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Work approach focused on operations, performance and quality.
• Excellent planning, organizational and resource management skills.
• Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Manage CAPEX projects from start to finish (FEL to execution and closure).
• Define scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Prepare and support approval requests (decision-making files).
• Draft requests for proposals, analyze submissions, and recommend suppliers/contractors.
• Coordinate engineering activities and validate technical solutions.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders (operations, maintenance, HSE) and external parties.
• Provide on-site support, including construction and commissioning.
• Conduct failure analyses with local teams to identify root causes and corrective actions.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Engineering Director, the incumbent is responsible for the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and the development of plants based on the company’s needs, in collaboration with the technical team and the operations managers of various terminals.

Main Responsibilities
