Job summary

Bitumar in Montreal seeks a Senior Strategic Buyer to transform procurement and contribute to growth. You will lead strategic sourcing, negotiate with suppliers, and implement cost-reduction initiatives across Canada and internationally.

You will work with operations, engineering, and sales to define technical and commercial specifications, monitor market trends, and optimize supplier performance while travelling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or other relevant field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in strategic purchasing.
• Fluency in both English and French (international suppliers and partners).
• Strong expertise in procurement management, ideally in petrochemicals, construction, or bitumen sectors.
• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
• Analytical mindset, leadership, and high level of autonomy.

Your Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and working closely with the Vice President of Operations, you will play a key role in optimizing costs and the overall performance of the organization.

You will be at the heart of strategic decisions by implementing effective, sustainable procurement approaches aligned with our business objectives.
