Job summary

Turner & Townsend is a global professional services firm seeking a Project Coordinator in Vancouver. You will assist the Project Manager and governance processes to ensure quality, timely delivery and strong client relationships across stakeholders.

With 3+ years in project controls or coordination, you will support detailed planning, reporting, and governance while benefiting from a flexible, hybrid work model in Canada and a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Project Coordination or administrative role within construction preferred.
  • BA/BS in Business, Construction, Architecture or related field. Relevant work experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years in project controls or administration.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Manager to ensure quality standards and timely delivery.
  • Establish effective project governance, processes and systems.
  • Maintain information sharing and data retention.
  • Build strong client and team relationships.
  • Interface with stakeholders including executives, consultants and vendors.
  • Maintain project information flow between team members and stakeholders.
  • Attend meetings, update issues/logs, and follow up on actions.
  • Develop detailed project plans and participate in status meetings.
  • Contribute to monthly client program reporting and dashboards.
  • Assist with proposals for new or variation projects.
  • SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

Job Description

As a Project Coordinatoryou will be involved in;

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in ensuring the project is managed to the right quality standards and completed efficiently and on time.
  • Assistwithestablishingeffective project governance,processesand systems to beutilizedthroughout project.
  • Ensure that key information and data is effectively shared and appropriatelyretained.
  • Build &maintainstrong relationships with the client and team members.
  • Interface with multiple stakeholders, including executive management, project team members,consultantsand vendors.
  • Assistwith the flow of project information between team members / stakeholders.
  • Attend relevant meetings,updateandmaintainissues/actions logs as current.
  • Development of detailed project plans, attendance at status meetings and follow-up with team members on completion status, close-out of open items.
  • Contribute to monthly reporting on various aspects of the Client's program.
  • Preparation of various reports for multiple audiences, including formal project management reports, executivedashboardsand other reporting requirements.
  • Assistwith the preparation of proposals for new projects or variations to existing projects.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
  • Experience working in aProject Coordination or administrative role within the construction industry is preferred.
  • BA/BS in Business, Construction, Architecture, or a related field. Relevant work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of (3) year’s professional experience in project controls or administration.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and presentation skills.
  • A problem-solving mindset.
  • Expert in Microsoft and Google Suite of software products; especially Excel
  • Corporate Interiors and Tenant Improvement experience is a plus.

The base salary range for the full-time Project Coordinator role is $60,000 - $85,000.Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
