Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Project Manager to drive planning, design and construction of innovative retail real estate for a major client. The role requires leading cross-functional teams, maintaining budgets and schedules, and coordinating with consultants and contractors.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in project management for commercial or retail fit-outs, a Bachelor’s degree in engineering/architecture, and PMP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a similar field.
• 7 years of experience as a Project Manager supervising construction.
• Commercial or retail fit-out experience is required.
• PMP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, procurement and construction phases, including furniture install and client IT coordination.
• Collaborate with client teams to establish budgets and schedules at feasibility stage.
• Set up and lead meetings, transcribe minutes and drive action items to closure.
• Ensure project controls and file specifications compliance.
• Oversee procurement, vendor consultations, and contract administration.

The ideal candidate will have a depth of experience working on retail or commercial construction projects. In addition, we are looking for a self-starter with a strong sense of urgency who can take initiative and drive activities with limited supervision.

Job Description

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be involved in:

• Managing individual tasks throughout the design, procurement and construction process including furniture install and coordination with client I.T.
• Working with the client team to identify initial budgets and scheduling at project feasibility.
• Setting up and lead meetings, transcribe meeting minutes and drive action items to closure.
• Ensuring project compliance with client’s document controls and file specifications.
• Collaborating and coordinating client stakeholders, consultants, client direct vendors and contractors.
• Providing regular reporting.
• Driving to maintain budget and schedule and identify potential solutions for issues that look to jeopardize same.
• Managing procurement, recommendation and appointment of consultants and contractors, and establishing quotations and order placement with client direct vendors.
• Eliciting and reviewing deliverables from relevant appointed parties.
• Administering Contracts and Master Service Agreements through the project lifecycle.
• Change order management.
• Attending weekly or bi weekly site visits when in construction.
• Administrating project observation reports.
• Processing payments to consultants, contractors and direct vendors in liaison with consultant team.
• Punch-list management
• Administering and coordinating project closeout documentation including lessons learned workshops.

Qualifications

• A minimum of7 years of experienceas a Project Manager insupervising construction projects of increasing complexity required.
• Commercial orretail fit out experience is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a similar field
• PMP certificationis preferred
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, & Project or P6.
• Good with numbers, technology, and web-based data platforms.

Additional Information

The base salary range for this full-time role is $105,000 - $125,000 per year.Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
