Job summary

Guillevin is seeking a Project Coordinator in Edmonton, Alberta for a maternity leave contract. This hourly, part-time role focuses on supporting local commercial customers with accurate project estimates and timely procurement.

You will coordinate with contractors and suppliers, manage purchase orders, and ensure project requirements are met profitably. Strong communication, negotiation and organizational skills are essential to succeed in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide contractors with accurate estimates and coordinate with suppliers.
• Check the requirements, scope and objectives of each project to ensure that it is managed efficiently and profitably.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to identify and meet project requirements.
• Rigorously manage all aspects of purchase orders: documentation, communication, fulfillment and billing.
• Monitor the progress of projects and deal with problems as they arise (flag and elevate to management if necessary).
• Follow up with the customer to guarantee the brand promise and a delivery that meets the needs of the project.
• As necessary, negotiate prices and conditions of sale with suppliers in the best interests of the customer, while respecting acceptable margins.
• Establish, develop and maintain strong business relationships with customers.
• Keep your technical knowledge of product lines up to date and stay abreast of new developments in order to respond effectively to customers’ needs.
• Demonstrate a keen interest in improving your business skills.
