Job summary

Maple Reinders Constructors in Cambridge, Ontario, is seeking a Project Coordinator to support our Project Managers on Industrial, Commercial and Institutional building projects.

You will assist with budgets and schedules, coordinate with Owners, Architects, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers, and help with procurement, RFIs, submittals and document control. You will also support safety initiatives and project closeout activities as the team delivers diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Coordinator in construction (6 months to 1+ year).
• University Degree/Technology Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development, maintenance and tracking of project budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate project correspondence with Owners, Architects, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Assist with procurement activities including bid packages and scope development.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and document control processes.
• Maintain project files, records and construction administration docs.
• Prepare meeting agendas, record minutes and track follow-up items.
• Support change management, including change orders and site instructions.
• Promote safety by supporting Maple Reinders Health & Safety Program.
• Support project closeout activities, including deficiency management and turnover.

Project Coordinator(ICI Construction)

Maple Reinders Constructors is currently searching for a talented Project Coordinator to join our team in Cambridge, Ontario.

Maple Reinders delivers projects through a variety of contract models, including Design-Build, Plan and Specification, and Construction Management, providing an opportunity to gain experience with multiple delivery methods across a diverse range of sectors.

As a Project Coordinator in our Buildings division, you will have the opportunity to support our Project Managers in the delivery of our exciting Industrial, Commercial and Institutional building projects.

In doing so, you will be involved in:

• Assist with the development, maintenance and tracking of project budgets and construction schedules.
• Under the direction of the Project Manager, coordinate project correspondence with Owners, Architects, Consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Assist with procurement activities, including the preparation of bid packages, scope development, and clarification of work with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and project document control processes.
• Maintain project files, records, and construction administration documentation.
• Prepare meeting agendas, record meeting minutes, and track follow-up action items.
• Support change management processes, including change orders, site instructions, and related documentation.
• Promote and maintain a strong culture of safety by supporting compliance with regulatory requirements and Maple Reinders Corporate Health and Safety Program.
• Support project closeout activities, including deficiency management, commissioning documentation, and project turnover requirements.

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year or more experience as a Project Coordinator in the construction industry.
• A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Civil Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 / Year (depending on experience)
