Job summary

Axiom Builders in Canada is seeking an on-site Project Coordinator to support the delivery of complex construction projects across Metro Vancouver and beyond.

You will organize materials, track changes, assist with shop drawings, report progress to management, and ensure health and safety compliance while collaborating with subtrades and the project team.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Building Technology or Construction Management.
• On-site construction coordination experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and maintain project materials (drawings, specs, change orders).
• Prepare change orders and track all contract/purchase orders.
• Assist with design/shop drawing reviews and approvals.
• Report project progress and productivity to management and clients.
• Ensure health and safety compliance on-site and across the company.
• Coordinate with subtrades to confirm scope and budgeting.
• Review designs to identify cost-effective construction methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and maintain all project materials including: drawings, specifications, purchase orders, design plans, and contract documents;
• Prepare change order documentation and tracking of all contracts change orders and purchase orders;
• Assist with the sample and shop drawing review process throughout the project including review, distribution, and final approvals electronically;
• Report on project progress and productivity to senior management and clients;
• Ensure compliance with on‑site and company‑wide health and safety protocols and policies;
• Communicate with subtrades to assist in budgeting to ensure they understand their scope of work;
• Review designs and use knowledge of construction methods to determine the most cost‑effective approach.

Skills and Experience

• Certificate, diploma or degree in Building Technology, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or a related field;
• Minimum one-to-two (1-2) years of experience in construction on‑site as a Project Coordinator;
• Proficiency in Procore, MS Project and other construction related software will be considered a strong asset;
• Academic experience or professional exposure to Design or VCON will be considered an asset;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (written/verbal) skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines;
• Willing and excited to work on site and be actively involved in project execution.

The base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $80,000, adjusted for experience, plus a competitive bonus program. During the interview process, let’s talk to get the right fit for your experience level.
