Job summary

Axiom Builders in Vancouver is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction projects from initiation to close. You will coordinate internal teams and externals to meet scope, budget, and deadlines.

The role requires 2+ years in a general contracting environment, a Building Technology/Construction Management credential, and strong stakeholder communication. Experience with virtual construction and 3D modelling is a plus. Base salary ranges with bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Project Manager within a general contractor setting.
• Certificate, diploma or degree in Building Technology, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proficient with project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Procore.
• Strong relationship and network of sub-trades in the Lower Mainland.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with virtual construction and 3D modelling programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget.
• Develop and manage project scope, schedule, costs, and objectives, engaging all stakeholders and ensuring feasibility.
• Act as front-line contact with consultants, engineers, trades, site staff, and project owners.
• Promote and project the company image of efficiency, quality, and fair management of trades and suppliers.
• Work closely with site field staff to ensure resources are available for project success.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, manage expectations, and ensure client satisfaction.

• Develop and manage project scope, schedule, costs, and objectives, involve all relevant stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility;
• Act as front-line contact with consultants, engineers, trades, site staff, and the owners;
• Promote and project the company image of efficiency, quality, technical competence and fair management of trades and suppliers;
• Work closely with site field staff to ensure they have the proper resources to successfully execute the project;
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, resolving issues, managing client expectation, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Skills & Experience

• At least two (2) years of experience as a Project Manager, working as part of a general contractor;
• Certificate, diploma or degree in Building Technology, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or a related field;
• Proficient with project management tools, such as Microsoft Project and/or Procore;
• Strong relationship and network of sub-trades in the Lower Mainland;
• Strong communication - confidence and ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels;
• Experience with virtual construction and 3D modelling programs will be considered an asset.

The base salary range for this role is $130,000 to $150,000, adjusted for experience, plus a competitive bonus program. During the interview process, let’s talk to get the right fit for your experience level.
