Job summary

Axiom Builders in Vancouver seeks an experienced Superintendent to lead a landmark high-rise project, guiding field teams and coordinating with the Senior Superintendent to deliver safety, quality and schedule goals.

You will manage subcontractors, oversee staffing, and ensure construction excellence on a skyline-changing development in Metro Vancouver, with a strong focus on collaboration, accountability, and excellence in execution.

Qualifications

• At least five (5)+ years of experience as a superintendent for a general contractor on high-rise concrete projects.
• Excellent record of leading a project from pre-construction to completion.
• Experience with infrastructure, roadworks or bridges will be considered an asset.
• Ability to build relationships with field staff, clients and other external stakeholders.
• Ability to lead and motivate site crew of various sizes and scopes.
• Proven success in influencing a culture of positivity, ownership and reliability on site.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with Project Manager and regularly communicate updates such as field reports, safety inspections, staffing requirements and schedule updates.
• Oversee subcontractor performance with regards to safety and scope of work.
• Ensure sufficient staffing is provided to achieve safety, schedule and quality objectives.
• Identify and advise of design deficiencies, schedule interruptions or difficulties, and other project issues.
• Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, site instructions and change notices to ensure scopes, terms and conditions are properly executed.
• Supervise and direct trades and labourers through regular instruction, communication feedback.
• Support CSO and head office in ensuring all employees, subcontractors and contractors are adhering to the safety policies.
• Work in partnership with Head Office and communicate effectively with all departments and provides reports as requested.

Axi om Builders is seeking a Su peridendnt to support construction management on a landmark project for Vancouver. This iconic high-rise development offers an exciting opportunity to lead and direct a portion of the field and site team to manage your scope within the larger Field Operations team. The Su peridendnt will work closely w ith the Senior Superintendent to ensure the successful execution of this skyline changing project, which involves a unique blend of luxury, innovation, and sustainability in Vancouver’s skyline.
