Job summary

Trillium Architectural Products is seeking a bright, organized Project Coordinator to join our team for major commercial and institutional projects. This permanent, full-time, hybrid role involves coordinating deliveries, documentation, and schedules to ensure projects run smoothly on site in North York/Greater Toronto area.

  • Knowledge of commercial doors, hardware, access control and/or automatic operators is a major advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documents, drawings and contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

PROJECT COORINDATOR - MAJOR PROJECTS

Trillium Architectural Products is a leader in the door and hardware industry. We work with architects, designers and contractors to create safe, secure and functional door openings for large-scale commercial and institutional projects. We are seeking a bright, organized individual to join our team as a Project Coordinator. This is a permanent, full-time position with a salary and benefits. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Project Coordinators support our Project Management teams by keeping jobs organized, on track, and running smoothly.
  • They maintain documents, monitor correspondence and manage schedules on complex projects that include the supply and installation of doors, frames, hardware, electronic access control devices and automatic door operators.
  • Coordination
  • Work with Project Manager to establish and maintain project schedule
  • Monitor status of deliverables, procurement schedules, submission packages and other project milestones
  • Oversee communication with General Contractor, subtrades and internal departments
  • Provide administrative project support, such as updating and maintaining spreadsheets and project documents on an ongoing basis
  • Assign tasks to team members and track progress
  • Assemble, submit and track project documentation, including shop drawings, product cut sheets, RFIs and closeout documents
  • Schedule and attend meetings, record minutes and assign tasks for ongoing projects
  • Coordinate product deliveries and installations in accordance with the project schedule and site conditions.
  • Save and organize all correspondence, documents and other files in accordance with Trillium standards
  • Document Control
  • Identify, download and save key project information for projects, including site instructions, specifications, drawings and revisions
  • Review and summarize project documents as requested by the Project Manager, including floor plans, specifications, electrical drawings and other documents as required
  • Ensure the most current and up-to‑date documents are available and filed appropriately
QUALIFICATIONS
  • The ideal candidate is highly organized, cooperative and willing to learn.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are key to your success.
  • You are proactive, diligent and able to follow standard procedures.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Project Coordinator in a related field, as well as post-secondary degree or diploma in Construction Management, Architectural Studies or Interior Design.
  • Knowledge of commercial doors, hardware, access control and/or automatic operators is a major advantage.
  • Understanding of construction documents, drawings and contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of Bluebeam (including Sessions and markup tools), Excel and Outlook required.
  • AutoCAD experience is a bonus.
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally via email and telephone with colleagues, customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Able to stay focused, even with interruptions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
