Job summary

Finney-Taylor Consulting Group Ltd. in Edmonton seeks a Project Coordinator to join the construction and utilities team.

The role supports Project Managers across all phases from inception to close-out, ensuring cost control, scheduling, and regulatory deliverables are managed effectively. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical diploma, plus several years of project management in construction and utilities environments, with strong HSE and records

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant technical certificate/diploma.
• 4 years of project management experience in construction.
• Experience with utility construction in energized substations and hazards and safe work practices.
• Understanding of foundation project management processes aligned with PMBOK.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of assigned projects and support a team of Project Managers from inception through close-out.
• Monitor costs and schedule; coordinate scheduling of crews and resources.
• Manage contracts and HSE reporting; ensure quality management and regulatory deliverables.
• Recordkeeping and regulatory documentation coordination throughout project lifecycle.

Job Description: Our Edmonton based client is looking for a Project Coordinator to join their team.

Must Have Primary Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; or a relevant technical certificate or diploma;
• 4 years of project management experience, preferably in a constructionenvironment;
• Experience with utility construction in energized substations and knowledgeable inthe hazards and appropriate safe work practices;
• Thorough understanding and experience of foundation Project Managementprocesses and procedures aligned with the Project Management Body ofKnowledge; and

Nice To Have Secondary Skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is highly desirable.

Proven Experience In

The Project Coordinator is accountable for coordinating the delivery of assigned projectsand supporting a team of Project Managers in the delivery of all aspects of a project frominception through to close out, including: cost and schedule monitoring, scheduling crews,contract management, HSE reporting, quality management coordinating regulatorydeliverables and records management.
