Job description

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Project Manager to support the successful delivery of commercial construction projects. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills to ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and aligned with client expectations. The successful candidate will also assist with design coordination, material selection, and collaboration between clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing commercial construction projects
• Manage communication and project deliverables between clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
• Track project schedules, milestones, budgets, and key deliverables
• Coordinate material, finish, fixture, and equipment selections with clients and project stakeholders
• Assist with procurement, shop drawing reviews, and project documentation
• Maintain accurate project records, meeting notes, and progress reports
• Identify and help resolve project challenges to keep projects moving forward
• Build strong cross‑functional relationships to ensure project success

Qualifications

• Construction industry experience is mandatory
• Previous experience as a Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, or similar construction management role
• Experience with commercial construction and renovation projects preferred
• Interior design, architectural, or design coordination experience is a strong asset
• Experience selecting and coordinating finishes, fixtures, materials, and furnishings for commercial projects
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and multitasking abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
• Knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation is an asset
