As a Project Coordinator on AMA’s Properties team, you'll play an important role in ensuring our facilities remain functional, efficient, and welcoming for employees, members, and customers. You'll be responsible for coordinating furniture initiatives, supporting facility‑related projects, and managing day‑to‑day work requests that keep AMA's workplaces running smoothly.

This role combines project coordination, relationship management, space planning, and operational support. Working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and the Facilities team, you'll help bring workplace projects to life while ensuring service requests are completed efficiently and effectively.

You’ll be part planner, part problem‑solver, and part coordinator, helping create environments that support the people who deliver exceptional service to AMA members every day.

The Team You’ve Been Looking For

AMA is more than a workplace; it’s a family. Together, we help protect the things that matter most to our more than one‑million members, everything from roadside safety to retail savings, food security to childhood well‑being. And with operations that span automotive, registries, travel, insurance, and more, the opportunities to grow with us are almost limitless.

About

Building on a century of proud service in Alberta communities, we’re passionate about making a meaningful difference in the places where we live and work. And that all begins with our people. As part of the AMA team, you'll enjoy:

  • Competitive salary and flexible benefits
  • Employer‑paid retirement savings program
  • Employee‑exclusive discounts on travel, insurance, memberships, and more
  • Free travel medical insurance for you and your immediate family
  • Ongoing professional development
  • Paid vacation and personal days, including a Volunteer Day and Me Day
  • Flexible work models that make sense for your lifestyle

For us, curiosity fuels innovation. We value people who are eager to explore new ideas and who are comfortable putting emerging technologies into practice. We see experience with AI‑powered tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, and similar platforms as a real plus, especially when it’s used to work smarter, increase efficiency, and find better ways to get things done.

Who You Are
  • You enjoy collaborating with people and building strong working relationships.
  • You're highly organized and have a talent for keeping multiple projects moving at once.
  • You're comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with hands‑on project coordination.
  • You have a natural ability to solve problems and adapt when priorities shift.
  • You're detail‑oriented and understand the importance of accuracy, planning, and follow‑through.
  • You take pride in delivering excellent service and finding practical solutions.
  • You're confident communicating with internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
  • You're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and help make things happen.
How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Coordinate furniture design assessments, redesign requests, and space utilization initiatives that support AMA workplace environments.
  • Partner with the Facilities Manager, architects, and furniture providers to develop practical workspace solutions while maximizing budgets and existing inventory.
  • Support furniture installations and workplace updates to ensure projects are completed efficiently and successfully.
  • Manage furniture‑related service requests using ServiceNow, ensuring timely assignment, coordination, execution, and follow‑up.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to support ongoing facility operations and service delivery.
  • Assist with departmental relocations by supporting planning, scheduling, move coordination, and post‑move reviews.
  • Maintain accurate furniture inventory records and workstation assignments across multiple locations.
  • Support budget tracking by reviewing invoices, verifying approvals, and coordinating payment submissions.
What You Bring To The Table
  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably involving building operations, facilities support, furniture systems, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with building operations or purchasing is considered an asset.
  • Post‑secondary education in Project Management, Business Administration, Building Operations, or a related discipline is an asset.
You’ll Also Bring
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
