An established industry player is seeking a skilled Project Controls Specialist to join their team at the Bruce Power Site. This long-term contract role involves overseeing project controls functions, including planning, scheduling, and cost management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project controls, particularly within the nuclear power sector, and will be responsible for analyzing project reports and making strategic recommendations. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to significant engineering projects while ensuring compliance with stringent safety and security standards.
One of our engineering clients is looking for a Project Controls Specialist to work at the Bruce Power Site.
Salary Range: Hourly (negotiable) – Contract role - Long-Term
Responsibilities include:
-Establish and manage the project controls functions and systems.
-Responsible for engineering, procurement and construction planning, scheduling, logistics and cost control.
-Analyze project controls reports, present findings and provide recommendations to the project controls team.
-Prepare the budget breakdown by package for all packages for all initiated and prospective work.
-Initiate and supervise cost trending program and ensure that a total Project Costs are reported for all external and internal work
-Forecast is continuously updated and compared to all budgets.
-Create various schedule reports and determine appropriate reporting format.
-Consult with project controls team on schedule progress.
-Responsible for monitoring resource loading of a schedule.
Experience:
-10 years experience in general Project Controls
-10 Years in Planning and scheduling
-Experience in nuclear power or power projects
-Nuclear Security Clearance
