Job summary

Ledcor Industrial is seeking a project controls professional to join our Fort McMurray-based team for a major turnaround project. This site-based role involves supporting scheduling, cost tracking, forecasting, and data-driven reporting in a fast-paced industrial construction environment.

You will collaborate with planners, project managers, and field teams to monitor progress, manage budgets, and identify risks.

Qualifications

  • Experience in project controls, cost control, or scheduling within industrial construction.
  • Understanding of project lifecycle and turnaround execution.
  • Proficiency with scheduling and cost tools (e.g., Primavera, Excel).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

  • Support project controls functions including scheduling, cost tracking, and forecasting.
  • Assist in maintaining project schedules and tracking progress against milestones.
  • Monitor and report on productivity, earned value, and project performance metrics.
  • Support cost control processes including budgets, commitments, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with planners, project managers, and field teams to ensure alignment.
  • Identify trends, risks, and variances, and support mitigation strategies.
  • Assist with progress reporting and client deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate project data in systems and reports.
  • Support change management and tracking of scope adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with project controls procedures and standards.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Support project controls functions including scheduling, cost tracking, and forecasting

Work Conditions
  • Site-based position in Fort McMurray, AB
  • Rotational schedule supporting a major turnaround project
  • Day shift and night shift work required
