Job summary

Ledcor Industrial is seeking a Project Controls Lead to oversee cost, schedule, progress, and performance on major industrial projects ranging from $50M to $1B+. You will mentor project controls teams in the field and drive data‑driven decisions across the project lifecycle.

This site‑based role partners with operations and leadership to deliver disciplined project controls, integrate Ledcor systems, and ensure successful project outcomes through strong governance and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in project controls on large industrial/construction projects.
  • Proven experience leading cost and schedule controls.
  • Advanced knowledge of project cost systems, productivity tracking, earned value, and performance measurement.
  • Strong scheduling experience with Primavera P6; TILOS experience is an asset.
  • Experience with InEight – InEight Control, InEight Plan, InEight Change.
  • Strong understanding of project controls terminology and interfaces with construction/engineering teams.
  • Experience in contract management.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting complex information.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Prepare complex Excel reports for internal and external distribution.
  • Compile, review, analyze, and present large data sets via progress monitoring tool.
  • Track project milestones and financial deadlines; assist with scheduling and updates.
  • Administer and provide support for in-house database applications.
  • Support subcontract management with invoices, progress claims, and document reviews.
  • Influence format of tables, charts and reports.
  • Improve project administrative processes to boost efficiency.
  • Set up project control budget and monitor schedule and productivity vs. budget.
  • Implement Ledcor systems and procedures for project start-up and ongoing cost accounting.

As a Project Controls Lead, you will play a critical leadership role on major industrial projects ranging from $50M to $1B+, providing strategic direction and hands‑on oversight of cost, schedule, progress, and performance. As part of Ledcor’s multi‑discipline, self‑performing organization—executing up to 90% of our work in‑house—you’ll influence outcomes across the full project lifecycle while mentoring and supporting project controls team members in the field.

This role is ideal for an experienced project controls professional who thrives in a site‑based environment, partners closely with operations and leadership, and brings clarity and discipline to complex projects through strong systems, data‑driven insights, and proactive decision‑making.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Prepare complex reports in Excel for internal and external distribution
  • Compile, review, analyze, and present large quantities of data via the progress monitoring tool
  • Facilitate the tracking of project milestones and financial deadlines; assist with creation of the project schedule; input and update schedule throughout the project
  • Responsible for the administration and technical support for various in‑house database applications
  • Support the subcontract management process by providing assistance with the review and processing of invoices and progress claims, and assistance with the review of documents and inquiries
  • Influence method and format of tables, charts and reports
  • Continuously improve project administrative processes and procedures to enhance efficiencies for the projects
  • Set up the project control budget and monitor and report on progress of schedule and productivity vs. budget; perform budget updates as required
  • Implement Ledcor systems and procedures including progress draws for project billings and the cost accounting system at project start‑up and maintain throughout the project
Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in project controls within industrial or large‑scale construction environments
  • Proven experience leading cost and schedule controls on engineering and construction projects
  • Advanced knowledge of project cost systems, productivity tracking, earned value, and performance measurement
  • Strong scheduling experience with Primavera P6; TILOS experience considered an asset
  • Experience with InEight – InEight Control, InEight Plan, InEight Change
  • Strong understanding of project controls terminology, workflows, and interfaces with construction and engineering teams
  • Experience in contract management
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex information to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams in a site‑based environment
