We at Raise are hiring a Project Controller ll for one of our top clients. After establishing themselves as an industry leader, they’re now expanding their team to meet rising demand.
Position Summary
- The IT Project Control Officer (IT PCO) supports the successful delivery of IT projects by providing project governance, financial tracking, schedule management, reporting, resource coordination, and administrative support. Working closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Delivery Teams, and business stakeholders, the IT PCO ensures projects are executed in accordance with organizational standards, budgets, timelines, and governance requirements.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Governance
- Support project initiation, planning, and project setup activities.
- Maintain project plans, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), actions, and decision logs.
- Ensure adherence to IT PMO methodologies, governance standards, and project lifecycle processes.
- Coordinate governance meetings, steering committees, and status reviews.
Financial Management
- Track project budgets, forecasts, actuals, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Perform monthly financial analysis and variance reporting.
- Support budget planning and resource forecasting activities.
- Monitor project spend and identify financial risks or discrepancies.
Schedule & Resource Management
- Maintain integrated project schedules and milestone tracking.
- Monitor progress against plans and highlight schedule risks.
- Coordinate project resource onboarding, offboarding, and capacity planning.
- Support dependencies across business, IT, vendors, and external partners.
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports.
- Produce dashboards and executive summaries for leadership and Steering Committees.
- Track action items and follow up with accountable owners.
- Facilitate communication among project teams and stakeholders.
Risk & Issue Management
- Maintain risk and issue registers.
- Ensure mitigation plans are documented and tracked.
- Escalate critical risks and issues appropriately.
- Monitor project health indicators and recommend corrective actions.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain project repositories, meeting minutes, and governance artifacts.
- Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
- Support compliance with internal controls, PMO standards, and corporate policies.
- Coordinate stage-gate approvals and project audits.
Required Skills:
- Experience supporting IT or ERP projects.
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
- Financial management and budgeting knowledge.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Project/Plan tools.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Clarity PPM, Planisware, ServiceNow, or similar project management tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
