Job summary

Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking two Project Assistants to support the filming of mock trial videos, interviews, and surveys for a Criminal Justice project. Supervision and training will be provided to support academic learning in an active learning framework.

The flexible position involves hours per week ranging from at least 3 per shift up to 35, with potential involvement in dissemination activities at MRU events and completion of research ethics training.

Qualifications

• This position is ideal for a third- or fourth- year student.

Responsibilities

• Help recruit student actors, act in the video, and help during the filming.
• Take field notes, including reflective comments on the filming and production process.
• Create an annotated bibliography and/or conduct a literature review guided by the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning and its literature.
• Participate in data analysis and drafting a manuscript.
• The Project Assistants will be encouraged to participate in dissemination activities, including presentations at MRU Research & Scholarship Days and MRU CURE in 2027.
• Complete one of the research data management workshops listed here.
• Complete the TCPS2: Core 2022 research ethics course.
