Position Summary
The Project Accountant plays a pivotal role in overseeing project accounting and reporting. This position will ensure the precision in tasks like project profitability analysis, financial working papers, and project cash flow statements. You'll take charge of a diverse portfolio of projects at various stages of development, contributing directly to HBNG Holborn Group's success in delivering top-notch projects efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Financial Management : Monitor and track project budgets, expenses, and revenue recognition, ensuring alignment with project plans and financial goals.
- Financial Reporting : Prepare and analyze financial reports related to project costs, revenues, and profitability, providing insights to project stakeholders.
- Cost Control : Implement and maintain cost control measures, identifying variances and proposing corrective actions to keep projects within budget.
- Billing and Invoicing : Coordinate project billing, invoicing, and collections, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to clients or stakeholders.
- Documentation and Compliance : Maintain project financial documentation and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Forecasting and Analysis : Assist in financial forecasting for projects, conducting analysis to support decision-making and resource allocation.
- Collaboration : Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and finance teams to ensure seamless financial integration within projects.
Skills / Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; additional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are advantageous.
- Experience : Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably with exposure to project accounting or cost control.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Jonas), advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with project management tools.
- Analytical Abilities : Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Detail Oriented : Meticulous attention to detail, especially in tracking project expenses and ensuring accuracy in financial records.
- Communication Skills : Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Adaptability : Ability to work in a dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and adapting to changing priorities.
