Job summary

Lookout Housing and Health Society is seeking a Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of residential, shelter, and outreach programs. Reporting to the Program Manager, the role provides operational oversight to ensure clients receive services aligned with the Society's minimal-barrier philosophy and regulatory compliance.

The position involves personnel management, budgeting, financial reporting, and cross‑agency coordination while maintaining client privacy and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Social Services field or comparable experience.
• Two years’ experience in the community social service sector.
• Experience with scheduling, payroll, budgeting and human resources.
• Knowledge of income assistance, affordable housing and health resources.
• First Aid Training Certificate and clear Vulnerable Sector check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Lookout residential, shelter, and outreach programs.
• Ensure program goals and minimal barrier service delivery are maintained.
• Coordinate administration of programs including documentation and reporting systems.
• Review and enforce operating policies and procedures; recommend changes.
• Liaise with community agencies and government reps to coordinate services.
• Assist with hiring, scheduling, personnel administration, and maintaining records.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure timely payroll transactions.
• Support staff development through in-services and continuing education.
• Prepare reports and assist with budgeting, financial analysis and expenditures.

Education
