Job summary

Pinnacle Group seeks a programme support – child health to assist with immunisation outreach and B4SC services in the Waikato region. You will work alongside immunisation outreach nurses, engaging with tamariki and whānau to remove barriers and enable informed health decisions.

You’ll ensure smooth day-to-day operations, maintain records, and support communications. This fixed-term role runs 32 hours per week through 30 June 2027, with a focus on equity and culturally responsive care.

Qualifications

• Full driver’s licence and First aid certificate.
• Experience with whānau and communities in health or social services.
• Minimum two years in customer service, ideally in primary health care.
• Experience with databases or strong data entry skills.
• High accuracy and attention to detail with strong communication.
• Passion for quality health services for tamariki and whānau.
• Inclusive of all cultures with commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Proficient with Office 365 and video conferencing tools.

Te whiwhinga mahi: The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a programme support – child health to join our Waikato team, supporting the delivery of child health programmes across the region with a primary focus on immunisation outreach and before school check (B4SC) services.

Working alongside immunisation outreach nurses, you will engage directly with tamariki and whānau in community settings, building trusted relationships and supporting access to services that improve health outcomes. Through a whānau-centred and culturally responsive approach, you will help remove barriers to care, provide practical support, and enable whānau to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.

You will also provide programme support to ensure the effective day-to-day operation of child health services — maintaining accurate records, supporting communication and follow-up activities, coordinating service administration, and contributing to the efficient delivery of child health programmes.

Working collaboratively with clinical, operational and community partners, you will help improve engagement with services and support equitable health outcomes for tamariki and whānau.

This is a fixed term role until 30 June 2027, working 32 hours per week.

• Current full driver’s licence.
• First aid certificate.
• Experience working with whānau and communities in a health or social services setting.
• A minimum of two years’ experience in customer service, and preferably some previous exposure to the primary health care environment.
• Experience working with databases and/or strong data entry skills.
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passionate about providing quality health services that meet the needs of tamariki, young people and their whānau.
• Inclusive of all cultures, with a commitment to Tikanga Māori and an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• High level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality, with an open-minded, adaptive attitude.
• Proficient in using Office 365 products and competent using video conferencing (e.g. Teams and Zoom).
