Job summary

Pacific Coast Community Resources Inc. seeks a Program Coordinator II to support the Program Manager in supervising staff, handling administrative duties, scheduling and developing plans to promote health and well-being in staffed homes, centers and home-based day programs.

The role may require on-call rotation to support after-hours operations, with standby and call-back compensation per the collective agreement. Strong leadership, communication and planning skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Diploma in Human/Social Services field.
• Certificate/Diploma in Management Training.
• Minimum 3 years experience including 1 year supervisory or administrative experience.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Windows; Outlook; Share Vision knowledge.
• Confidentiality practice.
• Current Emergency First-Aid and CPR Level C Certification.
• TB Test.
• Valid BC Class 4 Driver's Licence.
• Food Safe Certificate.
• Any qualification or skill required by a Licensing officer or funding body.

Responsibilities

• Supervise program staff: assign work, lead team meetings, provide performance feedback and conduct evaluations.
• Plan and implement program activities and special events.
• Recruitment and selection participation (screening, interviews, hiring recommendations).
• Monitor program expenditures and input to budget; contribute to ISP goals.
• Ensure facilities, equipment, policies, and licensing requirements are met.
• Develop emergency evacuation plans and manage emergency supply inventory.

Program Coordinator II

JOB SUMMARY:

In collaboration with the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator will assist the manager with the supervision of employees, administrative duties, scheduling and the development of plans. This includes the implementation and evaluation of programs that are designed to support a person's health and well-being within staffed homes, centers and home-based day programs.

This position may participate in an on-call rotation, as required, to support after-hours operations. On-call duties include responding to emergencies, staffing needs, and providing direction to staff. Standby and call-back compensation will be provided in accordance with the collective agreement.

• Formulates program policies and procedures and evaluates the program in consultation with the program manager, monitors program expenditures and provides input in to the budget
• Plans, develops, implements and evaluates ISP goals to ensure they meet the supported person's physical, social, emotional intellectual and spiritual needs and interests.
• In collaboration with the Program Manager, assist in program training, staff development and provide support and guidance to employees
• Supervises program staff by performing duties such as assigning work, facilitating team meetings, providing feedback on performance and conducting performance evaluations.
• Plans and implement program activities and special events.

• Has an excellent understanding of behaviour management principles and strategies including mental health support needs.
• Oversees the day-to-day operations of the program by ensuring the necessary facilities and equipment are in place, program guidelines and policies adhered to and agency standards and licensing requirements are met.
• Contribute to the overall emergency preparedness of the program including the development of emergency evacuation plans and management of emergency supply inventory. Ensures OH&S drills and inspections are documented appropriately.
• Promotes positive relationship with family members, co-workers, other professional and members of the community
• Maintains related records and statistics and produce reports as required
