Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a Program Support Clerk for the Admin Services team at Squamish Community Health Centre in Squamish, BC.
The role provides administrative support to Home Health, Mental Health and Public Health programs, on-site and off-site, including word processing, data entry, filing and reports. It also covers switchboard and reception duties and responding to inquiries.
Salary range: CAD $26.42/hr – CAD $28.25/hr.
Within the context of a client and family centred care model and in accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the Program Support Clerk provides administrative support to Home Health, Mental Health and Public Health program staff (both on‑site and off‑site) under the auspices of Community Health. Responsibilities include word processing, data entry, filing, typing reports and documents from notes for all programs. The role also performs switchboard and reception duties and answers general inquiries relating to Community Health programs.
The hours of work, including days off and work area, may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections. Collecting these records will allow for offering any missing vaccines and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks. New hires and appointments to Vancouver Coastal Health will be asked to provide this information as part of the onboarding process.
