Purpose

Reporting to the Operations Manager, Music, Theatre, Dance and Performance, the Program Services Assistant supports the effective delivery of studio operations and student services within AMPD, ensuring the efficient coordination of space bookings, equipment, and facilities while providing responsive, high-quality administrative and client service support to students, faculty, staff, and external partners.

Education

College Diploma in a relevant discipline such as live performance, music industry arts, or music production or an equivalent of 2 years recent experience (defined as within the last three years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.

Experience

Two (2) years of related experience in administrative support, client services, and operational coordination, including experience supporting facilities, space bookings, equipment administration, and musical and performing arts environments.

  • Intermediate computing skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Teams) and Zoom.
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, and other accepted health and safety work practices related to facilities and renovations.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of facilities management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of Working at Heights safety requirements and procedures.
