Job summary

York University is seeking staff to organize and lead box office and ushering operations for its Fine Arts Performance Facilities, including Sandra Faire and Ivan Fecan Theatre, Tribute Communities Recital Hall, Price Family Cinema, McLean Performance Studio and Joseph G. Green Studio Theatre.

The casual (up to 24 hours per week) position supports day, evening and weekend performances, with a focus on excellent customer service, leadership of student workers, cash handling, and use of ticketing

Qualifications

  • Previous experience providing service in a high-volume customer-oriented operation, including experience leading casual or student workers, responding to customer enquiries and handling cash/credit card payments.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and/or audience service is an asset.
  • Demonstrates commitment to exemplary customer service.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely, work independently and as a part of a team and respond effectively to customer concerns and service issues as they arise.

Purpose:

Education:

High School Diploma

Experience:
