Job summary

Makivvik invites applications for a permanent, full-time position responsible for the Ungaluk Program and division leadership in Nunavik. Reporting to the Assistant Director – President’s Department, the role oversees program implementation, stakeholder communications, and budgeting within Nunavik.

The ideal candidate holds a DEC in Project Management with 5+ years in management or strategic roles, strong leadership, and bilingual capabilities in Inuktitut/English/French.

Qualifications

• DEC in Project Management; relevant experience recognized

Responsibilities

• Implement and coordinate the Ungaluk Program and file team
• Ensure proper communications with proponents and regional organizations
• Develop and maintain a communication strategy with Nunavimmiut about the program, its objectives and activities
• Ensure that proponents provide and report on the activities and expenses
• Review and process applicants, follow-up for funding proposals
• Manage the human resources of the division
• Undertake standardized reviews of the program guidelines and database structure to keep it up to date
• Be available to travel as needed
• Perform other related duties within the scope of the position or as requested by supervisor
