Job summary

Compass Early Learning and Care (CELC) is hiring a Program Educator for the Beehive Program in Campbellford, Ontario. This permanent, full-time role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with program hours 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and a start date of September 8, 2026.

You will plan and lead play- and interest-based activities, supervise children, document learning progress, and help maintain a safe, nurturing environment while partnering with families and colleagues.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience working with children and youth.
• Familiarity with the Child Care Early Years Act and licensing standards.
• Valid Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check, Standard First Aid, and CPR Level C.
• Updated immunization records.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Applicants must be at least 18 by the beginning of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead activities reflecting children’s interests to support development.
• Maintain active supervision during play.
• Document learning progress through observation and reflection.
• Create a safe, healthy, and engaging learning environment.
• Collaborate with families and community partners.
• Participate in team meetings and staff training.
