Compass Early Learning and Care seeks a Registered Early Childhood Educator for Rolling Hills Bethany, Ontario. This 1-year contract offers 37.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, with shifts 6:00 am–6:00 pm.

Responsibilities include leading play-based activities, observing progress, ensuring health and safety, and partnering with families and staff. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years with children, knowledge of ECE acts, and current first aid/CPR and immunizations.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience working with children and youth.
• Knowledge of the Child Care Early Years Act and licensing standards.
• Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check, Standard First Aid, CPR Level C, and updated immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead activities that reflect children’s interests and support development.
• Maintain active supervision while engaging in play.
• Document learning progress through observation and reflection.
• Create a safe, healthy, and supportive environment.
• Assist with diapering, dressing, and eating habits as needed.
• Foster relationships with families and involve them in learning.
• Collaborate with coworkers and community partners.
• Participate in team meetings, training opportunities, and staff development.
• Assist with housekeeping duties and follow policies and procedures.
