Job Details

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Plan Member (patient) enrollment to ensure that the plan member is participating in any available support program that is offered by the drug manufacturer (i.e. Patient Assistance Programs);
  2. Set up pharmacy and prescriptions for patients during the enrollment process and provide ongoing support for the duration of the HealthForward Program;
  3. Acquire knowledge of funding mechanisms including private and public insurance plans;
  4. Coordinate and manage all aspects required to sustain prescription drug coverage for patients according to their private plan parameters;
  5. Coordinate cases with Patient Assistance Programs, pharmacies, physician offices, and healthcare professionals to maximize health outcomes;
  6. Manage documents, submissions, and all related paperwork to Patient Assistance Programs, physician offices, and pharmacies;
  7. Provide patients with adherence and compliance services to ensure medication is taken as prescribed and support overcoming adherence barriers;
  8. Be available between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM with flexible working hours;
  9. Maintain professionalism in a call center environment;
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Post-secondary education or equivalent in a related discipline;
  2. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service in an office setting;
  3. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel;
  4. Professional, courteous, and efficient telephone manner;
  5. Proven ability to organize time, prioritize, and multitask to meet deadlines;
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  7. Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
  8. Attention to detail;
  9. Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance industry is an asset;
  10. Bilingual in French/English is an asset.
