A leading organization in British Columbia is seeking a Program Assistant to provide administrative and program support to the Ministry of Culture, Heritage and Language. The role involves various tasks including financial administration, event planning, and collaboration with team members. The Program Assistant provides administrative and program support to the Ministry of Culture, Heritage and Language (MoCHL) team. The Program Assistant supports MoCHL team members across multiple program-related tasks focusing primarily on the language portfolio. Work includes administrative support throughout grant cycles, financial administration such as initiating and tracking payments to grant recipients and gathering and summarizing grant data for reporting purposes. The Program Assistant acts as a team player to provide support to other MoCHL initiatives as needed, contributing to successful program implementation. This position supports MoCHL events and workshops, involving technical assistance for virtual meetings, travel coordination for in-person engagements, representation of MoCHL at public functions, and event planning administration. The Program Assistant performs various administrative support tasks including records management and office-related tasks.
