Job summary

IMP Aerospace & Defence is seeking a motivated Program Analyst to join our PMO. You will apply data analytics, develop schedules, and support program reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Working with industrial engineers and project managers, you will drive process improvements, ensure accurate data, and contribute to lean initiatives like 5S and Kaizen. This on-site role offers exposure to aerospace programs and security-clearance considerations.

Qualifications

  • Industrial Engineering degree preferred; related Engineering or CS acceptable.
  • Co-Op Experience or employment in data analysis is an asset.
  • Strong SQL and DAX skills; proficient MS Office and MS Project Server.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive performance reports for management.
  • Develop detailed project, program and aircraft production schedules using MS Project Server.
  • Proactively manage schedules to reflect sequence, milestones, resource allocation, durations, and dependencies.
  • Maintain and enhance our current reporting system to ensure accurate and timely information.
  • Analyze data pertaining to production processes, quality control, and efficiency metrics.
  • Identify areas with potential for process improvement, suggesting solutions to enhance productivity and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with the Programs team to identify challenges to cost and schedule, and participate in options analysis and suggested improvement plans.
  • Assist in the preparation of Programmatic reports and the maintenance of project documentation.
  • Support project change control processes and assess schedule and cost impacts of approved changes.
  • Contribute to lean manufacturing projects, implementing methodologies like 5S, value stream mapping, and Kaizen events.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team. As a Program Analyst within the Program Management Office (PMO), you will have the chance to apply your knowledge and skills in real-world scenarios, working alongside experienced Industrial Engineers and Project Managers in the field. This position will provide exposure to a range of primarily data related industrial engineering tasks, including data analysis, project schedule development and management, process optimization, and more.

  • Develop comprehensive performance reports for management, improving existing reports as needed.
  • Develop detailed project, program and aircraft production schedules using MS Project Server.
  • Proactively prepare and manage schedules to ensure they reflect accurate sequence, milestones, resource allocation, durations, and dependencies.
  • Maintain and enhance our current reporting system to ensure accurate and timely information.
  • Analyze data pertaining to production processes, quality control, and efficiency metrics.
  • Identify areas with potential for process improvement, suggesting solutions to enhance productivity and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with the Programs team to identify challenges to cost and schedule, and participate in options analysis and suggested improvement plans, if required.

What You Will Bring:
  • Graduate of an Industrial Engineering program is preferred; related Engineering or Computer Science field acceptable.
  • Co-Op Experience, or employment experience in data analysis is considered an asset.
  • Strength in SQL, DAX, and other programming languages is critical to success.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with MS Project Server are required.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis is considered an asset.
  • Sound knowledge of performance reporting.
  • Strong technical skills are required.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Motivated, organized Individual with good interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Industrial Engineering practices (Six Sigma, Lean, 5S) skills considered an asset.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to IMP Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies.
  • Continually focusing on your individual safety and the safety of others who may be affected by your work and to fully comply with all Federal Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian government security clearances.
