Bombardier seeks a Professional Senior, Engineering–Mass Properties for the Advanced Design Department in Canada. You will support mass properties activities, perform weight predictions, CG envelopes, and participate in detailed analyses to support aircraft development and certification.

You will also contribute to tool development, supervise internships, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure accurate mass properties data, aiming for robust, safe, and efficient aircraft designs.

Qualifications

• Possess a university degree in Engineering.
• More than 10 years of aerospace engineering experience.
• Strong experience in Mass Properties.
• Good understanding of aircraft systems and structures.
• Knowledge of aircraft development and certification processes.

Responsabilités

• Support Mass Properties activities in aircraft development projects.
• Prepare center of gravity envelopes for different scenarios.
• Mass distribution and inertias estimations; weight targets and reports.
• Participate in Mass Properties detailed analysis and tool development.
• Supervise engineering students’ internships.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Support the Mass Properties activities of aircraft development projects.

• Participate in Mass Properties activities, such as:

• Weight predictions at various levels of details in support of:

• Aircraft configuration development

• Tradeoff studies

• Uncertainty analysis

• Cost estimations

• Supplier discussions and negotiations

• Etc.

• Preparation of center of gravity (CG) envelopes for different scenarios

• Participation in Mass Properties detailed analysis such as:

• Mass distribution and inertias estimations

• Fuel migration analysis

• Buoyancy assessment

• Weight targets definition

• Weight status reports preparation (including weight tracking)

• Etc.

• Participate in the development, coding and implementation of Mass Properties tools.

• Supervise engineering students’ internships.
