Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Technical Expert in Engineering - Mass Properties for the Advanced Design Department in Dorval, QC. You will supervise Mass Properties activities across aircraft development programs, perform CG and mass distribution analyses, and guide the team through trade studies and integration efforts.

Seniority and collaboration with suppliers are key as you drive design optimization and ensure certification readiness.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in aerospace engineering.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Mass Properties activities of aircraft development projects.
• Participate in Mass Properties activities, such as weight and CG predictions, supporting configuration development, trade studies, and uncertainty analysis.
• Detailed analysis including mass distribution, inertias estimations, fuel migration analysis and buoyancy assessment.
• Weight targets definition and review/approval of Mass Properties deliverables.
• Participate in planning and tracking of Mass Properties activities and collaborate with internal/external contributors.
• Provide supervision and mentoring to junior team members and supervise engineering student internships.

• Supervise and support Mass Properties activities of aircraft development projects


• Participate in Mass Properties activities, such as:

    • Tradeoff studies
    
    
    • Uncertainty analysis

• Contribute to the development plan for Mass Properties tools and processes with a focus on continuous improvement


• Provide supervision, guidance and mentoring to more junior members of the Mass Properties team


• Supervise engineering students’ internships.
