Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a data engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes. You will integrate data from multiple sources, develop tools, and ensure data quality across diverse environments.

The role requires a strong foundation in Python and SQL, experience with ETL and data integration, and familiarity with Power BI and Power Apps. Hybrid work policies may apply, with an emphasis on collaboration and scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Aerospace, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years in data engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Python and SQL and software development.
• Experience with ETL processes, data integration, and data pipeline development (Argo Workflow or similar).
• Knowledge of Machine Learning & AI is a plus.
• Proficiency with Power BI and Power Apps; excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes.
• Develop supporting tools as needed to enhance data management and operational efficiency.
• Propose, validate and implement technical solutions adapted to our current landscape.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, including internal databases, third‑party APIs, and external data feeds, to provide an output based on business requirements.
• Interact with different organizations to ensure seamless integration of the provided solution.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, processes, and system architectures to ensure transparency and ease of maintenance.
• Identify and resolve data‑related issues and risks, including debugging data pipelines and addressing data quality concerns.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Aerospace, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years in data engineering;
• You have good knowledge of Python & SQL (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) and software development;
• You have good knowledge of ETL processes, data integration, and data pipeline development (Argo Workflow or similar);
• You have some knowledge in Machine Learning & AI;
• You have experience with MS Office suite (MS Access VBA, MS Excel VBA), Power BI and Power Apps;
• You demonstrate a professional attitude and superior communication skills (essential);
• You have excellent organizational, time management skills, foresight, accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to objectives and responsibilities;
• You have a proactive attitude and ability to manage multiple priorities;
