Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH is seeking a Professional, Engineering specialist for the Weekend Shift in Mississauga, ON. The role focuses on providing Systems Engineering support to the Global Final Line Assembly and delivering integrated engineering solutions for design and manufacturing issues.

You will review test requirements, support the product development team with technical proposals, and maintain strong relations across BA departments and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering and eligibility for Professional Engineer registration.
• 2-8 years’ experience in aircraft Systems Engineering (Hydromechanical, Avionics, Electrical, Propulsion and Pneumatics).
• Conversant with design, qualification and certification test requirements.
• Familiar with Part 25 certification requirements and advisory material.

Responsibilities

• Provide Systems Engineering support to the Global Final Line Assembly.
• Provide integrated engineering solutions to resolve design or manufacturing issues impacting final line production.
• Perform technical engineering analysis of existing systems and structural designs to recommend improvements via RFC/PCR.
• Provide engineering guidance to Quality, Methods, and Production teams.
• Review functional test requirements and translate into mature functional tests.
• Assist with technical proposals, including written material and presentations; review design changes.
• Develop good working relationships with BA departments and suppliers.

• Provide Systems Engineering support to the Global Final Line Assembly.
• Provide integrated engineering solutions to resolve design or manufacturing issues impacting final line production.

• Review functional test requirements and ensure translation into mature functional tests.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a Bachelor of Engineering Degree and eligibility for Professional Engineer registration.
• You have experience in providing engineering support to a Final Line/ Production.
• You have 2-8 years’ experience in aircraft Systems Engineering (Hydromechanical, Avionics, Electrical, Propulsion and Pneumatics).
• You are Conversant with design, qualification and certification test requirements.
• You are Familiar with Part 25 certification requirements and advisory material.
• You possess strong integration skills, in both system partner management and system technical integration.
• You are familiar with Microsoft Office software.
• You have strong communication skills, ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

The base salary for this position is expected to range from CAD $77,000 to CAD $127,000per year. The applicable base salary will be determined based on various criteria, at Bombardier’s sole discretion, such as the candidate’s skills, experience and qualifications.

In some cases, the base salary offered may differ from the expected range of base salary listed above.
