Job summary

Thermon Industries, Inc is seeking a Production Worker (Saw Operator) to assemble heating equipment for North American customers in Oakville, Ontario. You will review travelers and drawings, inspect parts, assemble components and perform testing to ensure all specifications are met.

Ideal candidates will have high school diploma, strong communication skills, and hands-on experience with assembly, overhead cranes, and production saws in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hydro testing experience is an asset.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Assembly experience is preferred.
• Experience operating overhead cranes and manufacturing equipment, including production saws, is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures related to material handling and machine operation is an asset.

Responsibilities

The Role

The Production Worker (Saw Operator) is responsible for the assembly of various equipment for heating systems for customers across North America.

What You Will Do

Specific Responsibilities:

• Review traveler/job package.
• Review and understand drawings (or blueprints).
• Ensure parts are free of damage before use.
• Assemble heating equipment.
• Test and verify that products meet all specifications provided on the Job Traveler and Inspection Test Plan (ITP), including TSSA and QC testing.
• Operate and/or assist with manufacturing equipment, including overhead cranes and production machinery such as production saws, in accordance with safety procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods and bend when necessary.

Knowledge & Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hydro testing experience is an asset.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Assembly experience is preferred.
