Job summary

Norbec, a Canadian-owned leader in prefabricated walk-in coolers & freezers, is seeking a Production Operator to support the automated production line. You will work across plant areas to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality output and assist with day-to-day operations.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will follow procedures, monitor equipment, perform basic maintenance, document production, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience operating automated production lines (asset).
  • Forklift driving experience (asset).
  • Overhead crane experience (asset).

Responsibilities

  • Follow all health and safety procedures, operational standards, and company values.
  • Operate and monitor automated production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform routine machine adjustments and basic preventive maintenance.
  • Learn and maintain skills in the production line areas where required (steel, injection, saw, packaging, stacker, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues in collaboration with team members.
  • Ensure product quality by following established standards and procedures.
  • Complete and maintain required production documentation accurately.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process optimizations.
  • Perform other related tasks based on operational needs.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Operator is responsible for operating and supporting the automated production line to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The Operator will work across different areas of the plant as needed and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operations.

Required Training And Experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment;

  • Forklift driving experience (bi-directional lift experience an asset);
  • Overhead crane experience (asset).
