Job summary

OTI Lumionics Inc. is seeking a production operator for our on-site facility in Mississauga, Canada.

The role involves operating production equipment, maintaining SOPs, and documenting batch records to ensure quality and regulatory compliance. Your background includes a post-secondary degree in science/engineering and at least two years in a GMP-regulated setting, with strong attention to detail, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical and/or GMP regulated facility.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulations.
• Detail oriented and well organized with a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operating production equipment in accordance with SOPs.
• Performing routine maintenance and calibration of production equipment.
• Documenting and reporting batch records accurately and in a timely manner.
• Following safety guidelines and maintaining cleanliness on the production floor.
• Ensuring adherence to SOPs when processing, collecting, and packaging product batches.
• Maintaining proficiency in operation and basic maintenance of relevant production equipment.
• Assisting in the preparation of procedures, protocols, and reports for new product batches.
• Identifying and implementing process or equipment changes to improve quality, efficiency, or regulatory compliance.
• Supporting the team on various ongoing projects.
• Performing all tasks in accordance with Safe Work Practices and SOPs.
• Ensuring compliance with environmental policies and actively participating in reducing environmental impacts.
• Adhering to health and safety protocols, reporting hazards, and contributing to a safe work environment.

About Us

OTI Lumionics is developing advanced materials—by design—using quantum simulations, machine learning and real-world testing in pilot production. We are currently focused on key enabling materials for OLED displays that will be used in next-generation consumer electronics and automotive. Our advanced electrode materials, and associated manufacturing technology, are being used to build transparent displays and lighting. We work closely with our partners and customers to design new materials that are mass-production ready. Using our computational Materials Discovery Platform, we are able to rapidly iterate new materials, allowing fast turn around time to meet our customers’ needs.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operating production equipment in accordance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Performing routine maintenance and calibration of production equipment
• Documenting and reporting batch records accurately and in a timely manner

• Assisting in identifying and implementing processes or equipment changes to improve quality, efficiency, or regulatory compliance

• Ensuring compliance with environmental policies, procedures, and objectives, and actively participate in the identification and reduction of environmental impacts related to the role

• Performing other ad hoc duties as assigned

Profile

• Post-Secondary Degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical and/or GMP regulated facility
