Job summary

OTI Lumionics is seeking a production technician to operate production equipment in a GMP-regulated facility, following SOPs and maintaining cleanroom discipline. You will document batch records, perform routine calibration, assist in procedure development, and support multiple projects while prioritizing safety, quality, and compliance across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of hands-on manufacturing experience in GMP facilities.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulations.
• Ability to work all shifts, including extended hours.
• Detail oriented and well organized; high accuracy and thoroughness.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment following SOPs.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of production equipment.
• Document and report batch records accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness on the production floor.
• Ensure adherence to established SOPs when processing, collecting, and packaging product batches.
• Maintain proficiency in operation and basic maintenance of relevant production equipment.
• Assist in the preparation of procedures, protocols, and reports for new product batches.
• Assist in identifying and implementing processes or equipment changes to improve quality, efficiency, or regulatory compliance.
• Support the team on various ongoing projects.
• Perform all tasks in accordance with established Safe Work Practices and SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with environmental policies and health and safety protocols.

OTI Lumionics is developing advanced materials—by design—using quantum simulations, machine learning and real-world testing in pilot production. We are currently focused on key enabling materials for OLED displays that will be used in next-generation consumer electronics and automotive. Our advanced electrode materials, and associated manufacturing technology, are being used to build transparent displays and lighting. Primary Responsibilities

• Operating production equipment in accordance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Performing routine maintenance and calibration of production equipment
• Documenting and reporting batch records accurately and in a timely manner
• Following safety guidelines and maintaining cleanliness on the production floor
• Ensuring adherence to established SOPs when processing, collecting, and packaging product batches
• Maintaining proficiency in the operation and basic maintenance of relevant production equipment
• Assisting in the preparation of procedures, protocols, and reports for new product batches
• Assisting in identifying and implementing processes or equipment changes to improve quality, efficiency, or regulatory compliance
• Supporting the team on various ongoing projects
• Performing all tasks in accordance with established Safe Work Practices and Standard Operating Procedures
• Ensuring compliance with environmental policies, procedures, and objectives, and actively participate in the identification and reduction of environmental impacts related to the role
• Adhering to health and safety protocols, reporting hazards, and contributing to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
• Performing other ad hoc duties as assigned

Profile

• Post-Secondary Degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical and/or GMP regulated facility

• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices and the ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures
