RBC is seeking a Production Support Engineer (SRE) to enhance technology resiliency. The role involves monitoring systems, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. - Monitor production systems and applications to ensure high availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify and fix bugs.
- Implement and maintain advanced monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
- Perform root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for production support processes and procedures.
- Lead and participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
- Mentor and guide junior production support engineers.
- Continuously improve production support processes and tools.
Requirements:
**Minimum Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in production support, system administration, or a related role.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
- Strong experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as OCP, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
**Nice to have Qualifications:**
- Experience leading production support teams or projects.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI.
- Strong knowledge of networking and security best practices.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Engineer).
