Production Support Analyst

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing:

• Front line support of a 24/5.5 production of FX systems for both internal and external clients, including incident and problem resolution, maintenance, and deployment of application software.
• Ensure all production incidents, service requests, and problems are logged and resolved in the bank's systems.
• Produce and utilize SQL/KDB queries to provide ad-hoc information to stakeholders and assist in problem resolution.
• Operate as part of a shift rotation, covering hours from 07:00 to 18:30, including some bank holidays.
• Provide weekend and evening coverage if required.
• Perform weekend application upgrades, configurations, and patching across multiple environments following requirements and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications for banking and equity trading platforms.
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate RESTful APIs and WebSocket connections.
• Implement complex UI components displaying financial data, such as real-time stock tickers, charts, and portfolio management tools.
• Optimize web applications for speed and scalability, especially in high-frequency trading environments.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and adherence to web standards.
• Work with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes into high-quality code.
• Test and debug applications to ensure reliability, security, and compliance with industry regulations.

What You Need:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (CS, Maths, Physics, Finance) with strong communication skills.
• 5-10 years of frontend development experience, preferably in finance.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frameworks like React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Knowledge of financial services, trading systems, market data feeds, and regulations.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, WebSocket protocols, and backend integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills:

• Experience with FX or Equities low latency/electronic trading systems.
• Support/development experience in tier 1 investment banks or hedge funds.
• Skills in system engineering, UNIX/Linux, networking, query languages (KDB/Q/SQL), and programming languages (Java, C++, Python).
• Understanding of ITIL concepts for production management.
