Agropur in Saint-Laurent, QC, seeks an Evening Shift Production Supervisor to coordinate daily production from receiving to shipping and meet schedules. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead teams, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement while prioritizing health, safety, and quality.

Role requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing; a college diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production activities from raw material receiving to shipping, ensuring schedules and customer requirements are met.
• Deliver the production plan in terms of volume, quality, and cost by coordinating processes and teams.
• Manage raw materials, ingredients, and cleaning products.
• Plan and manage workforce requirements.
• Supervise, coach, and develop production teams.
• Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and maintain positive labor relations.
• Promote and enforce health and safety standards (lockout/tagout, machine safety, WHMIS).

RegularThe Production Supervisor is responsible for managing production teams, overseeing manufacturing processes, and ensuring the efficient execution of operations from raw material reception to finished product distribution. Reporting to the Production Manager, the role plays a key part in delivering production targets in terms of quality, quantity, cost, and timelines, while fostering a strong culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. As a change agent, the Production Supervisor contributes to the transformation of operations by promoting efficiency, accountability, and employee engagement.

Agropur is looking for an Evening Shift Production Supervisor to join its team in St-Laurent.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor plays a key role in achieving production objectives related to quality, volume, cost, and timelines, while fostering a strong culture of health and safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

As a change agent, the Production Supervisor contributes to the transformation of operations by promoting efficiency, accountability, and employee engagement.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m..

• Salary scale 004: $73,000 to $91,200 (base salary will be determined based on your academic background, experience, training, and skills related to the role)

How you will contribute to collective success:

• Coordinate daily production activities, from raw material receiving through processing, packaging, aging (where applicable), and shipping, while ensuring adherence to schedules and customer requirements.
• Deliver the production plan in terms of volume, quality, and cost by effectively coordinating manufacturing processes and work teams.
• Ensure optimal management of raw materials, ingredients, and cleaning products.
• Plan and manage workforce requirements based on operational needs.
• Supervise, coach, and develop production teams while fostering engagement, accountability, and collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and maintain positive labor relations.
• Promote and enforce health and safety standards, including participation in key programs such as lockout/tagout, machine safety, confined spaces, WHMIS, and related initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with quality, sanitation, and food safety requirements (e.g., SQF, HACCP, GMP).
• Oversee sanitation activities and ensure equipment cleanliness is maintained.
• Support compliance with environmental requirements and sustainable practices.
• Monitor and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute to performance improvement efforts.
• Initiate, support, and lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing processes, increasing efficiency, and reducing waste.
• Participate in plant committees and contribute to achieving strategic objectives.
• Foster a culture of operational efficiency and continuous improvement aligned with organizational values.
