Job summary

Agropur Cooperative is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead production teams in our Quebec facility. You will oversee processes from milk receiving to shipping, maintain production plans, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

The role emphasizes team development, adherence to the collective agreement, and continuous improvement. Ideal candidates have a college diploma or university degree, at least 3 years of supervision in a unionized setting, and proficiency with MS Office; Lean Six

• College diploma or university degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years of personnel supervision experience.
• Experience working in a unionized environment.
• Experience in the food manufacturing industry is considered an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Lean Six Sigma certification is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Production and Maintenance Manager, the Production Supervisor manages production teams, oversees manufacturing processes, and ensures smooth operational performance.
• Coordinate manufacturing activities through to shipping (milk receiving and processing, production, packaging, aging, and shipping) while ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
• Ensure operational continuity, adherence to production plans, and product quality standards.
• Coordinate workforce requirements.
• Ensure proper management and efficient use of raw materials, ingredients, and cleaning products.
• Ensure compliance with and follow-up on health and safety programs.
• Maintain compliance with quality, sanitation, and food safety requirements.
• Support and maintain environmental program initiatives.
• Supervise and monitor sanitary maintenance of equipment.
• Ensure the collective agreement is properly applied.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead, engage, develop, and train team members.
• Empower employees and involve them in decision-making.
